DePaul PRSSA~
VP of Communication to President

I was lucky enough to serve as DePaul PRSSA's Vice President in 2022 and President in 2023! From organizing chapter activities, planning quarterly events, and making sure everyone from my chapter was able to make professional connections and memories, I grew both as a leader and an individual in the industry of PR.

PRSSA District Conference is a conference only selected PRSSA chapters in different universities host. The selected chapters have to plan everything for their conference such as: theme, guests, location, social media strategy, catering, and much more. I was in charge of leading the communication group along with the VP of Social Media from DePaul PRSSA. We both worked on helping promote this conference through emails and social media, which touch base on my creativity skills. I helped create and edit a couple of graphics for this conference through Canva. I also used my leadership skills to successfully lead a meeting with another member for a PR agency so that guests were able to get informed about the agency and ask any questions. My priority was to make sure both the agency and guests had a smooth and easy communication experience in order to formulate successful networks.

As the VP of Communication for DePaul PRSSA I was in charge of sending out bi-weekly emails, known as our newsletters, to our subscribers which include DePaul students and staff. We send out two newsletters, one is sent to introduce any event/meeting we will have for the week. And the other newsletter is a recap of the event/meeting that happened in case students were not able to attend. During the first few months in my position, I re-branded our newsletters using Mailchimp and our brand kit. This was because I wanted to make our newsletters a lot more eye-catching and engaging for students, while still being able to effectively deliver information. My position helped me gain more creativity and communication skills as I had to re-brand our newsletters to fit our target audience, which is mostly college students.
